PLACES OF INTEREST TO VISIT

Costa
Paradiso

Costa Paradiso is heaven on earth and close to both Badesi and Isola Rossa.

The Li Cossi beach is not only one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia but also the whole Mediterranean.

Surrounded by red granite the coastline is spectacular particularly at sunset.

Costa
Smeralda

Costa Smeralda is known for its turquoise water and fine sand beaches.  A visit is a must for the most curious and first-time visitors to Sardinia.  Lots has been said and written about this corner of the world.

My advice is not to look too much on the man-made developments but focus instead on the stunning beaches and enchanting sea.

Arcipelago di
La Maddalena

There is little point trying to describe the transparent sea that awaits visitors to the Maddalena Archipelago – one of the most beautiful and unspoilt parts of Sardinia.

It is easily reached from Badesi or Isola Rossa with organized day trips departing from Palau or Santa Teresa.

It costs approximately €50 to take a very comfortable boat trip to explore the wonders of the archipelago with lunch onboard included.

L'Asianra

If you are looking for a dream trip I propose you explore the Stintino coast by catamaran with a group of friends to visit the protected paradise of Asinara Island.

The port of Stintino can be reached in an hour by car from Badesi where you can meet a skipper who will ferry you to discover the secrets of the island.

Stintino

La Pelosa beach, with its shallow turquoise waters and salty white sands, is arguably one of the best beaches of Europe.

Unfortunately, this means it is very crowded during the summer months.

My advice is to go and see it between May and June or late September, so you can enjoy it more freely.

A little over an hour from Badesi.

Alghero

Alghero is one of Sardinia’s most beautiful medieval cities.

It embodies the living history of the Spanish presence in Sardinia.

The historic centre is an enclave of cobbled lanes with museums, gothic churches and medieval cloisters to explore.

The city’s past as a Catalan colony is preserved in the local dialect.
